Chapter 2  : Whirlpools in the Pattern 



  • I’m thinking Rand will go down the same path of when Lews Therin killed everyone close to him after all it seems he’s been hearing Lews Therins voice when he was near Callandor and when he killed the dark friends showing no harm was when Lews Therin really came out to play. 


  • I agree with Perrin thinking he and Mat are somehow a part of Rand’s destiny; perhaps he’ll need their help to accomplish something he can’t do alone. 


  • Going back to the cock (bird) that crowed, Faile says that, “My nurse used to say that meant a death coming. Not that I believe it, of course”. I’m thinking it means something or its some sort of foreshadowing for one of our main characters that may potentially die in a book or two. 


  • WTF the axe going at Perrin what is going on? I’m starting to think that Lews Therin inside Rand and was trying to kill Faile and Perrin with his axe. Also maybe Lews Therin sees Perrin as an obstacle that needs to be taken care of. 



  • Rumors 


  • Page 65 : “I heard a rumor today. I hear that the Lord Dragon is taking war with Illian.” I highly doubt this rumor is true but we’ll wait and see and show knows it could actually come to eventually be true. Who knows. 


  • Page 67 : “The Light burn my bones to ash if it is not so,” he muttered. Is this something Mat possibly got from a previous life and was reincarnated perhaps from another life prior. 


  • Another cock (bird) crowed - could it be the same one Faile and Perrin heard?


  • Page 68-70   : cards  


  • The playing cards Mat is gambling with come to life (mainly the Amyrlin card) to try and kill him and the people he’s gambling with think he’s crazy. 



  • Rand has met Berelain in her nightgown. From what I’m reading she seems interested in going to bed with Rand sex even. I’m thinking her trying to seducing Rand was part of the Game of Houses to get political influence.


  • And another cock (bird) crowed. I’m starting to think this has some importance since it’s crowed for the third time this chapter. 

 

  • Page 77, mirror 


  • Rand is defeating reflections of himself as well as wounding himself to try and stay alive and smashing the mirrors to try and stop them from coming through to take his place in our world. 



  • I’m thinking the three instances are all coming from the same source that caused them but no idea what caused them (Perrin’s axe coming to life, the cards and the mirrors) are all from the same thing that caused them but don’t know what and right before each of them a cock (bird) crowed and doesn't seem like a coincidence. Also the fact these things just happened to Rand, Mat and Perrin as well as one of these instances happened right in front of Berelain leads me to believe she knows more than she’s letting on or she’s up to something we don’t know about yet. 


  • When we see Rand covered in blood I immediately thought oh there’s Carrie on prom night after she’s drenched in pig’s blood and I  was also thinking now Rand has a twin. 


  • It seems Rand is going through phases where he wants to be the Dragon Reborn but at other points he probably wishes he could have his old life back in Emond’s Field before Moiraine showed up.

The Dragon Reborn - Chapters 9-11

  Ch9 - Wolf Dreams  So Aes Sedai can have the power of Dreaming; so what does that mean?  In Perrin’s dream, Who was the bloody man? Oh no the next dream has  Lanfear in it; oh fucking shit this is really bad (there were white pointed archways that led into a bigger room with furniture carved, gilded and inlaid with ivory). This makes me think of the Place in Tear Rand  is trying to get to. Like a way of foretelling events that will eventually happen perhaps.  Page 115 - “ Run now! You must not be here now. Danger. Great Danger. Worse than all the Neverborn. You must go. Go now! Now! ” - I was thinking what “danger” was Hopper referring to in the dream; something horrible/terrifying will happen in the future to Perrin or someone else perhaps.  WTF would Hopper go for Perrin’s throat? We also think he’s dead, but is he really dead; or is this a vision of something terrible to come? But in reality Hopper was just trying to scare Perrin out of the dream...

The Great Hunt - Chapter 45 : Blademaster

Ch.45  - These questions were brought to you by the Gleeman’s Apprentice Podcast.   Nyneave  Nynaeve channeled at the collars of two damane and they fell to the ground.  Initial plan was: Ambush Sul'dam to get dress+a'dam -> one of the girls take dress other where collar -> go to Damane house New plan: Nynaeve just put a sack on the sul’dam’s head and collar the sul’dam’s neck and use the sacked sul’dam to get into the building with all the damane(where Egwene is being held) and they take the sack of the sul’dam’s head before going in.  Nyneave doesn’t want to collar Elayne.  And Nynaeve takes the sul’dam’s dress and they switched  clothes because the dress fit Nynaeve better and the sul’dam was dressed in a dress they prepared earlier to look like a damane dress.  Nynaeve has power over Seta. Seta promised not to tell anyone and she’s the leashed one.  Now they are headed to the a Lion’s Den ( aka where all the damane are kept)....
