The Dragon Reborn : Chapters 6-8
Chapter 6 The Hunt Begins
Page 80-81 : Perrin arguing with Moiraine and rands note
Page 80-81 - I was incredibly proud of Perrin for standing up to Moiraine like he did in her hut thinking she had something I did with Rand leaving but found it sorta interesting that Moiraine had nothing to do with it.
Page 83 - We already know Lanfear is out of Shayol Ghul. But it’s still a mystery how she’s out. Maybe the Mirror World that Rand and his group visited is maybe somehow connected to Shayol Ghul?
Rand mentioned “dreams” before what does he mean by this reoccurrence regarding the letter? I’m starting to think Rand meant some dreams aren’t true and others hold the truth as things to come.
Page 86- weary of dreams and wolves
Page 86 - Moiraine tells Perrin “Be wary of dreams, Perrin Aybara. Be very wary of dreams.” Moiraine tells this to Perrin because the Shadow is stronger in the dreams and might make the dreams seem real when they could be a figment of the Shadow making the person see things I’m assuming.
Page 86 - “It’s not the Shadow in my dreams I’m afraid of. It’s wolves. I will not let them in. I won’t!
Perrin is shutting out the Wolves again after getting injured; I’m like Perrin, don't stop being who you’re meant to be because it’ll be beautiful when you embrace who you are. I struggle with embracing being Bi and these instances are things we can both work on.
Wait Lan, Perrin and Masema both dreamed of Callandor but they dreamed about different portions of the moment Rand gets to the sword. That’s an interesting bit of information.
Foreshadowing - Page 89
Page 89 - I’m very clueless by Min’s current reading of Perrin regarding a caged Aiel, a Tinker with a sword and a falcon and a hawk, and both are female.
Page 89 - Min says to run if Perrin encounters the “prettiest woman” aka Lanfear that we’ve met plenty of times already. Why didn’t Min give Perrin this warning earlier about Lanfear?
Ch7 - The Way out of the Mountains
When Moiraine is being taught to fish was super awesome and beautiful and it was kinda funny that she caught the three fish and said they had enough.
Ch8 - Jarra
What vile smell was Perrin smelling?
Page 102 - “He said somebody was after him. He said....”The chinless man swallowed and went on slowly. “Said they’d kill him if he didn’t go. ‘One of us has to die, and I meant it to be him.’ His very words.” - I’m thinking Bal’zamon,Showdowspawn (all those things) are after Rand. I’m like, Who will kill Rand if he doesn’t go where (Tear?) and Who has to die or is it saying Rand has to die?
Page 106 - Oh gosh it looks like Noam is a full fledged wolf due to his behavior and his actions. It must have been hard for Moiraine to tell Simion that his brother is nothing like a man (he basically lost the essence of his brother). When Perrin let Noam out of the cage it made me extremely happy to let him roam free for the rest of his
