The Dragon Reborn - Chapter 4 : Shadows Sleeping

Symbol : It’s the Wolf logo. Before reading this chapter I was like there has to be something to go with the Wolfs but didn’t know what that would be exactly before reading. 



The chapter title is called : The chapter is titled Shadows Walking. After reading this chapter it was probably referring to Lanfear and the Mysterious guy at the beginning of the chapter trying to get Perrin to drink wine which he refuses to. 



Main Points of the Chapter (aka what I thought was important from the chapter) 


  • Mentioned characters (new characters) : none? 


  • Lanfear is telling Perrin basically that I’ll always be in your dreams whether you like it or not . This got me thinking to where I think Lanfear will take this to her advantage and basically tell Perrin some things and tell him to perhaps do things for her during these dream-like episodes that he really doesn’t want to do(63).


  • Perrin isn’t coming to terms that he’s a Wolfbrother (it made me compare being a Wolfbrother to a sexuality) and brushes it off like everything is fine and doesn’t accept thats what he is. This reminds of of when i tought I’d never be anything but straight and thought I’d never be Bisexual or Gay and brushed it off for so long and recently came to terms and accepted the fact I’m Bisexual and was happy forbeing me(65).


  • I predict Rand will claim Callandor in the dome-like building Perrin’s dream depicted towards the end of The Dragon Reborn and will take it to the final battle; I also think once Rand has Callandor Moirainel trust him enough to be in charge. I also think Perrin’s vision of this prophecy will turn out to become true. 



Afterthoughts


  •  I was surprised to find out Callendor is made of glass or even crystal(something see through) and wasn't expecting it not to be much of a sword. I was expecting it to be a sword Rand could fight with; maybe he will fight with it and maybe even use it in the final battle.

  • This chapter is from the Point of View of Perrin. 


- It ends when Perrin has the dream regarding Callendor.

The Dragon Reborn - Chapters 9-11

  Ch9 - Wolf Dreams  So Aes Sedai can have the power of Dreaming; so what does that mean?  In Perrin’s dream, Who was the bloody man? Oh no the next dream has  Lanfear in it; oh fucking shit this is really bad (there were white pointed archways that led into a bigger room with furniture carved, gilded and inlaid with ivory). This makes me think of the Place in Tear Rand  is trying to get to. Like a way of foretelling events that will eventually happen perhaps.  Page 115 - “ Run now! You must not be here now. Danger. Great Danger. Worse than all the Neverborn. You must go. Go now! Now! ” - I was thinking what “danger” was Hopper referring to in the dream; something horrible/terrifying will happen in the future to Perrin or someone else perhaps.  WTF would Hopper go for Perrin’s throat? We also think he’s dead, but is he really dead; or is this a vision of something terrible to come? But in reality Hopper was just trying to scare Perrin out of the dream...

The Great Hunt - Chapter 45 : Blademaster

Ch.45  - These questions were brought to you by the Gleeman’s Apprentice Podcast.   Nyneave  Nynaeve channeled at the collars of two damane and they fell to the ground.  Initial plan was: Ambush Sul'dam to get dress+a'dam -> one of the girls take dress other where collar -> go to Damane house New plan: Nynaeve just put a sack on the sul’dam’s head and collar the sul’dam’s neck and use the sacked sul’dam to get into the building with all the damane(where Egwene is being held) and they take the sack of the sul’dam’s head before going in.  Nyneave doesn’t want to collar Elayne.  And Nynaeve takes the sul’dam’s dress and they switched  clothes because the dress fit Nynaeve better and the sul’dam was dressed in a dress they prepared earlier to look like a damane dress.  Nynaeve has power over Seta. Seta promised not to tell anyone and she’s the leashed one.  Now they are headed to the a Lion’s Den ( aka where all the damane are kept)....
