Ch.42 - Falme



I was happy when Elayne channeled to steal the apples so Nynaeve could eat something since they waste so low on money. 


  • I feel the girls will start a revolt against the Seanchan and get additional people to help them. 


  • I believe Nynaeve will be the key to figuring out how to unfasten the collars to free the  damane to use against the Seanchan along with maybe the Aes Sedai of Falme perhaps. 


  • I found it interesting that Egwene needs someone to hold the bracelet or she feels sick if she tries to channel.


- “What she had on now was the same dark gray all damane wore. Damane have no possessions, it had been explained to her. The dress a damane wears, the good she eats, the bed she sleeps in, are all gifts from her sul’dam. If a sul’dam closes that a damane sleep omg the floor instead of in a bed, or in a stall in a stable, it is purely the choice of the sul’dam” (503). 

  • I find it so disgusting that Ryma can’t take her own life without being given permission to do so. 


  • None of the damane are left where they might jump from a certain height and the bloody windows are nailed shut, and they can’t throw themselves in a river or use a weapon to harm themselves. 


- “‘Her name is Ryma. I have to remember her name, not the name they’ve put on her. She is Ryma, and she’s Yellow Aja, and she has fought them as long and as hard as she could. It is no fault of hers that she hasn’t the strength left to fight any longer “ (506). 

- “I wish I knew her name. Remember both of us, Min. Ryma, if the Yellow Ajah, Egwene al’Vere. Not Egwene the damane; Egwene al’Vere of Emond’s Field” (506). 

  • Omg Egwene's name is now Tuli and Renna knows Egwene has been channeling; oh no. 


Afterthoughts 

  • I’m confused when Renna says, “.....except when we are complete.” What does Renna mean by this? 


  • The Court of the Nine Moons sounds like a place you never want to visit ever and want to try to avoid as much as possible. 


  • I wonder if Egwene could potentially start the uprising (and be the example everyone needs and follow Egwene as their “leader”)between the damane and the sul’dam. That’d be awesome to watch.

  Ch.29  Fill out after I read chapter  Symbol : It looks like some sort of helmet. It might go hand in hand with the chapter. This looks like a Seanchan helmet and could just be showing what helmets these people wear.  On the hardcover edition of TGH I’m starting to think the creature on top of the rocks is a Seanchan and same with the ones on the back cover.  Chapter title : The title of the chapter is Seanchan. The Dragon Reborn - Chapters 9-11

  Ch9 - Wolf Dreams  So Aes Sedai can have the power of Dreaming; so what does that mean?  In Perrin’s dream, Who was the bloody man? Oh no the next dream has  Lanfear in it; oh fucking shit this is really bad (there were white pointed archways that led into a bigger room with furniture carved, gilded and inlaid with ivory). This makes me think of the Place in Tear Rand  is trying to get to. Like a way of foretelling events that will eventually happen perhaps.  Page 115 - “ Run now! You must not be here now. Danger. Great Danger. Worse than all the Neverborn. You must go. Go now! Now! ” - I was thinking what “danger” was Hopper referring to in the dream; something horrible/terrifying will happen in the future to Perrin or someone else perhaps.  WTF would Hopper go for Perrin’s throat? We also think he’s dead, but is he really dead; or is this a vision of something terrible to come? But in reality Hopper was just trying to scare Perrin out of the dream...

The Great Hunt - Chapter 45 : Blademaster

Ch.45  - These questions were brought to you by the Gleeman’s Apprentice Podcast.   Nyneave  Nynaeve channeled at the collars of two damane and they fell to the ground.  Initial plan was: Ambush Sul'dam to get dress+a'dam -> one of the girls take dress other where collar -> go to Damane house New plan: Nynaeve just put a sack on the sul’dam’s head and collar the sul’dam’s neck and use the sacked sul’dam to get into the building with all the damane(where Egwene is being held) and they take the sack of the sul’dam’s head before going in.  Nyneave doesn’t want to collar Elayne.  And Nynaeve takes the sul’dam’s dress and they switched  clothes because the dress fit Nynaeve better and the sul’dam was dressed in a dress they prepared earlier to look like a damane dress.  Nynaeve has power over Seta. Seta promised not to tell anyone and she’s the leashed one.  Now they are headed to the a Lion’s Den ( aka where all the damane are kept)....
