The Dragon Reborn - Chapter 1 : Waiting

 




Ch.1 



Symbol : The symbol is the Ravens  chapter logo. This logo makes me think the murderous ravens will be back (I really think they’ll be at the Two Rivers causing havoc everywhere at the Dark One’s command without Rand, Perrin and May not knowing they might be in the way along with Pedrol Niall or the Dark One night tell Pedrol Niall to send the Ravens before he gets there as a warning of what is to come). 


Chapter title : The chapter title is called Waiting.  I’m starting to think this chapter we’ll see from Perrin’s PoV what he thinks about if someone is coming to deal with the three of them and when the supposed man or being will show up that might be potentially dangerous. 


Main Points of the Chapter (aka what I thought was important from the chapter) 


  • Mentioned characters :  Leya 


  • I wonder why Perrin doesn’t want to share his feelings with his five companions. 


  • The woman that Perrin is waiting for Moiraine is a Tinker. 


  • Oh no a Raven found the Mountains of Mist. I wonder who sent them if anybody did. I’m so glad the Raven didn’t spot the boys and was later killed by the Watcher. 

 

- The Dark One uses Ravens, crows and rats as his eyes in cities. I assume this is so the Dark One doesn’t draw attention to larger animals that are more out of the ordinary of the scenery to not be easily caught. 

  • Why is the Tinker looking at the dead Raven? Maybe she can tell if this Raven was actually working for the Dark One perhaps. 


- “‘She is called…. Sometimes, she is called Moiraine. My name is Leya”’ (7). 

  • I wonder what news Mistress Leya has for Moiraine that is so important she has to tell her directly. 


  • They made it to the Camp of the Dragon Reborn with Leya. 


Afterthoughts 


  • I still wonder who the woman Perrin is waiting on for Moiraine is, but I know she’s a Tinker of the Traveling People. 


  • I am seeming to trust Leya ever since Perrin meets her but then again she could be a Darkfriend for all we know and is using being a Tinker as a coverup as a disguise. You can’t be so sure with people you just met without knowing them for a while. 


Point of View at the end of the chapter 


  • This chapter is from the Point of View of Perrin. 


- It ends when they get to the Camp of the Dragon Reborn with Leya.

  Ch.29  Fill out after I read chapter  Symbol : It looks like some sort of helmet. It might go hand in hand with the chapter. This looks like a Seanchan helmet and could just be showing what helmets these people wear.  On the hardcover edition of TGH I’m starting to think the creature on top of the rocks is a Seanchan and same with the ones on the back cover.  Chapter title : The title of the chapter is Seanchan. The Dragon Reborn - Chapters 9-11

  Ch9 - Wolf Dreams  So Aes Sedai can have the power of Dreaming; so what does that mean?  In Perrin’s dream, Who was the bloody man? Oh no the next dream has  Lanfear in it; oh fucking shit this is really bad (there were white pointed archways that led into a bigger room with furniture carved, gilded and inlaid with ivory). This makes me think of the Place in Tear Rand  is trying to get to. Like a way of foretelling events that will eventually happen perhaps.  Page 115 - “ Run now! You must not be here now. Danger. Great Danger. Worse than all the Neverborn. You must go. Go now! Now! ” - I was thinking what “danger” was Hopper referring to in the dream; something horrible/terrifying will happen in the future to Perrin or someone else perhaps.  WTF would Hopper go for Perrin’s throat? We also think he’s dead, but is he really dead; or is this a vision of something terrible to come? But in reality Hopper was just trying to scare Perrin out of the dream...

The Great Hunt - Chapter 45 : Blademaster

Ch.45  - These questions were brought to you by the Gleeman’s Apprentice Podcast.   Nyneave  Nynaeve channeled at the collars of two damane and they fell to the ground.  Initial plan was: Ambush Sul'dam to get dress+a'dam -> one of the girls take dress other where collar -> go to Damane house New plan: Nynaeve just put a sack on the sul’dam’s head and collar the sul’dam’s neck and use the sacked sul’dam to get into the building with all the damane(where Egwene is being held) and they take the sack of the sul’dam’s head before going in.  Nyneave doesn’t want to collar Elayne.  And Nynaeve takes the sul’dam’s dress and they switched  clothes because the dress fit Nynaeve better and the sul’dam was dressed in a dress they prepared earlier to look like a damane dress.  Nynaeve has power over Seta. Seta promised not to tell anyone and she’s the leashed one.  Now they are headed to the a Lion’s Den ( aka where all the damane are kept)....
